The Belmont family and Dracula
-
Rose Belmont
Voiced by Abby Trott
The new protagonist: a young vampire hunter who bears Dracula's curse in her right arm and wields many weapons besides her whip. Trevor trained her as his successor.
-
Trevor Belmont
Voiced by JB Blanc
The hero who defeated Count Dracula 23 years earlier with the holy whip Vampire Killer. He travels down the Seine with Rose in answer to Paris's call for help.
-
Sypha Belnades
Voiced by Alejandra Reynoso
Rose's mother, who fought Dracula beside Trevor but fell victim to his curse and died soon after Rose was born. Her tarot cards are Rose's inheritance.
-
Count Dracula
Voiced by Graham McTavish
The immortal vampire king. Defeated in the late 15th century, he briefly returned three years later; twenty years on, darkness stirs again in Paris.
Rose is the heart of the game; Konami's pitch is a story that “depicts the growth of Rose Belmont”. Previews add a few details: Impulse Gamer describes her light blue outfit and strawberry-blond braid standing out against the dark backgrounds, and RPGFan describes Trevor worrying whether his capable but cursed daughter is ready to carry on the family trade. Trevor is not playable in the preview builds, and whether he is ever playable is not confirmed as of 2026-10-14.
Sypha's role is felt more than seen. She died before the game begins, but the tarot cards she left Rose are the vessel for the Arcana system: each boss Rose defeats is sealed into one of them. That makes Sypha, in a sense, part of every fight. The story page explains the family history in more detail.
Bosses and other figures
-
The Fallen
Voiced by Ray Chase
A mysterious monster terrorising Paris and the first threat Rose meets in the sewers. After his defeat, his voice stays with Rose from inside a tarot card.
-
Joan of Arc
Voiced by Erica Lindbeck
The French heroine who received a divine revelation and played a prominent role in the Hundred Years' War. A new boss for the series.
-
Medusa
Voiced by Melique Berger
A monster with the body of a giant serpent whose gaze has turned countless people to stone. A classic Castlevania foe.
-
Isaac
Voiced by Liam O'Brien
A devil forgemaster who creates and commands demons, with a history with Trevor dating back 20 years.
-
Carmilla
Voiced by Dawn M. Bennett
A renowned vampire awaiting Rose in Dracula's castle, her battle stance in a bloodstained dress both terrifying and beautiful.
-
Death
Voiced by Aaron LaPlante
Dracula's right-hand man, the Grim Reaper, whose soul-reaping scythe can slice through space itself.
Konami's character page files all six of these under “Bosses” and ends the list with “And more…”, so expect other encounters beyond this list. For fight details, including tactics for The Fallen reported from the demo, see our Belmont's Curse boss guide.
Where these characters come from
Most of the antagonists have long series histories. Carmilla is based on Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu's 1872 novel Carmilla, and Medusa is one of the folklore and mythological monsters the series draws on. Death, Dracula's loyal servant, appears in many entries, from Lament of Innocence and Rondo of Blood to Harmony of Dissonance, Curse of Darkness and Portrait of Ruin. Isaac comes from Curse of Darkness (2005), where he is the rival Devil Forgemaster of the hero, Hector. Joan of Arc is the headline newcomer: Konami presents her among the game's “enigmatic new bosses”. Dracula, of course, is the constant, the vampire who resurrects roughly every hundred years to face the Belmonts.
Returning voice actors
Three performers return to roles they played before. Alejandra Reynoso (Sypha) and Graham McTavish (Dracula) reprise their parts from Netflix's Castlevania animated series (2017–2021), which adapted Dracula's Curse. Liam O'Brien returns as Isaac, the role he voiced in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness in 2005, more than 20 years ago; Isaac and Hector also appeared in the animated series' second season. Konami's voice cast announcement describes the ensemble as acclaimed performers from across games, film and television.
The voice cast reveal
Konami revealed the English cast in the English Voice Cast Reveal trailer on August 24, 2026, introducing Abby Trott as Rose and Graham McTavish as Dracula and showing more of the game's Gothic environments and boss encounters. The video is listed with every other official upload on our trailers page.

Character art
Konami commissioned original artwork from manga artist and illustrator Katsuya Terada, featured in the release date trailer and on a premium Rose Belmont tarot card offered by select EMEA retailers. In the game itself, RPGFan's preview describes dialogue scenes with anime-style character art over layered, hand-painted backgrounds, while Rose and the enemies have a 2.5D look in motion.
