Announcement Trailer
The reveal trailer from Sony's State of Play on February 12, 2026, announcing the exploration-based 2D action game from Konami, Evil Empire and Motion Twin for 2026.
The first look, shown during the Konami segment of State of Play. It introduced the tagline “Crimson Curse — Will Your Fate Bloom in Despair or Salvation” and promised a 2026 release without a date, which is why early coverage listed the game as simply “coming in 2026”.
Gameplay & Commentary Trailer
All-new gameplay with developer commentary on the blend of action and exploration and on the game's setting, Paris in 1499. Shown during the Triple-i Initiative showcase.
The most useful video if you want to understand how the game plays. Konami describes it as highlighting the mix of action and exploration while going deeper into the 1499 Paris setting. A longer Triple-i post-show developer interview followed on April 22, 2026.
Release Date Trailer
Premiered at the Xbox Games Showcase: the October 15, 2026 date, new gameplay, a first look at more environments and bosses, and original artwork by Katsuya Terada.
According to Konami's press release, this trailer shows Rose Belmont battling beneath the catacombs of Paris and through the dark halls of Dracula's castle. It came with pre-orders for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Steam; the Switch date followed on July 15. Details are on our release date page.
Bloody Tears Trailer
A launch-season trailer named after the series' signature theme Bloody Tears, built around the official story introduction: Paris in flames in 1499 and the conspiracy lurking beneath.
Named after one of Castlevania's best-known pieces of music, which also appears as track 14 in the Midnight Edition's Digital Sound & Art Gallery. Konami's official site lists the trailer's release under September 4, 2026; the YouTube upload is dated September 3 in Pacific time.
