The most important twist on the road to launch was the Switch version. When the release date arrived in June, Konami left Switch undated; a month later, on July 15, it confirmed the Switch version would ship the same day as the others. The other notable shift came with the reviews: the PC Metascore moved from 85 to 84 between October 13 and 14 as more reviews arrived. Details on unlocks are on the release date page, and scores on the reviews page.

How we update this page
- We add an entry only when there is a primary source: Konami's official site or press releases, Konami's YouTube channel, or the official PlayStation, Xbox, Steam and Nintendo store pages.
- Review milestones are taken from Metacritic and OpenCritic and always carry an as-of date.
- Rumours, leaks and datamines are never listed. If something is reported but unconfirmed, it stays off this timeline.
- Every change to another page, such as a corrected unlock time or a new score, gets a line in the site update log with the date.
- Dates are given as the source states them; YouTube upload dates are in Pacific time.
