Konami's game system page promises “legendary bosses including Death, Medusa and Carmilla in addition to enigmatic new bosses such as Joan of Arc”. The official character page then groups The Fallen, Joan of Arc, Medusa, Isaac, Carmilla and Death under “Bosses” and ends with “And more…”, so this list is a floor, not the full roster. The tower guardian comes from previews: after The Fallen, both Impulse Gamer and RPGFan headed for a tower where the next boss was said to wait, and RPGFan's TGS build referred to it as a Warrior Arcana boss.
How bosses work: keys and Arcana
Bosses are the backbone of progression. Large doors between areas need a number of keys, and keys come from the bosses of the current area. In the opening, the door in The Fallen's arena needs three keys: The Fallen holds one, and two other guardians hold the rest. Every defeated boss is also sealed into one of Rose's tarot cards and becomes an Arcana, a spell or special action you can equip, so each fight both opens the map and expands your toolkit. The gameplay guide explains Arcana and Works of Mercy in full.
The Fallen: boss guide
Konami describes The Fallen as a mysterious “monster” terrorising the people of Paris and the first threat Rose encounters in the sewers. Previews describe a towering, wolf-like creature (Impulse Gamer) or a man turned into a hulking beast (RPGFan), armed with claws and a spinning metal cross. He leaps around the arena and swings from anchors Rose cannot use yet. The fight comes early: Impulse Gamer reached it about eight minutes into its preview build.
Attacks reported by players
- Slams and charges across the arena floor.
- Claw attacks, including a sweeping claw that covers the room while he swings from an anchor.
- A thrown cross, the same weapon Rose takes as an Arcana after the fight.
- Anchor swinging: he uses the arena's anchors to reposition, which Rose cannot do until after this fight.
How to beat The Fallen
- Save at the mirror before the arena. The mirror save room is also your respawn point.
- Collect healing first. Break candles in the sewers for health ampoules; RPGFan's player needed them to win.
- Wall-jump to avoid slams and charges rather than trying to outrun them on the floor.
- Knock his thrown weapon out of the air. Impulse Gamer timed attacks to hit the cross when he threw it.
- Roll under the claw sweep when he swings from an anchor across the room.
- Punish in short bursts. When an opening appears, land two or three hits, then get back to dodging instead of trading blows.
Rewards
Beating The Fallen gives you his Arcana, which lets Rose throw a cross the way he did, the Arcane Whip upgrade that latches onto the golden anchors, and the first of three keys for the arena door. His purified soul stays with Rose inside a tarot card, where he keeps talking to her, and reveals that he serves an unknown master along with two other guardians. More on that in the story page.
Joan of Arc
The headline new boss. Konami's profile calls Joan of Arc the French heroine who received a divine revelation and played a prominent role in the Hundred Years' War, and Wikipedia's summary suggests she played a major part in a war between vampire hunters and the forces of darkness. She is voiced by Erica Lindbeck. Where and how you fight her is not confirmed as of 2026-10-14.
Medusa
A monster with the body of a giant serpent whose gaze has turned countless people to stone, according to Konami. Medusa is one of the mythological monsters the Castlevania series draws on, and Konami lists her among the game's legendary returning bosses. She is voiced by Melique Berger. Her fight details are not confirmed as of 2026-10-14.
Isaac
A devil forgemaster who creates and commands demons, with a history with Trevor dating back 20 years. That history is Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (2005), set in 1479, where Isaac is the rival Devil Forgemaster of the hero, Hector; Isaac and Hector also appeared in the second season of the Netflix animated series. Liam O'Brien returns to voice him more than two decades after Curse of Darkness. Konami lists Isaac in the Bosses section of its character page; fight details are not confirmed.
Carmilla
A renowned vampire awaiting Rose in Dracula's castle, whose battle stance in a bloodstained dress Konami calls both terrifying and beautiful. Carmilla is a recurring series character based on Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu's 1872 novel Carmilla. She is voiced by Dawn M. Bennett.
Death
Dracula's right-hand man, the Grim Reaper, whose soul-reaping scythe can slice through space itself, and who feeds on the souls of the dead. Death is one of the most persistent figures in the series: Wikipedia's plot summaries have him facing the heroes of Lament of Innocence, Rondo of Blood, Harmony of Dissonance and Portrait of Ruin, and playing a schemer's role in Curse of Darkness. He is voiced by Aaron LaPlante.
Is Dracula a boss?
Not confirmed. Count Dracula is part of the cast, voiced by Graham McTavish, but Konami's character page lists him under characters rather than bosses. His history frames the game: defeated by Trevor and his companions in the late 15th century, temporarily resurrected three years later, and stirring again in Paris twenty years on. We will not guess at a final boss before it is confirmed.
What we will add after launch
Once the game is out and fights are documented by reliable sources, we will add locations, reported patterns and rewards for each boss, plus their Arcana. Until then, every “not confirmed” on this page means exactly that. For the first hours, use the beginner's guide, and meet the full cast on the characters page.
