The prices are the US-dollar list prices on Steam, the Xbox Store and Nintendo's US store, and they match Konami's announcement. The Standard Edition is digital only: Konami's product line-up lists a physical version only for the Midnight Edition. Steam, the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store (Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC) and the Nintendo eShop all sell both editions.

Prices in pounds, euros, yen and Australian dollars are set per store and are not listed in the sources we checked, so we do not quote them here. Whatever your currency, the relationship is the same: the Midnight Edition is the Standard Edition plus the gallery app, two costumes and one relic, and both editions get the same Alucard Style Costume when bought early.

What is in the Midnight Edition?

The headline extra is the Digital Sound & Art Gallery, a separate application from the main game. Konami says it contains 71 tracks from the game, playable through an in-app sound player, and more than 100 pieces of artwork, including concept art and sketches from production. The track list opens with “Bloodbound” and “Streets Of Fire”, includes the series classic “Bloody Tears” as track 14, and from track 33 onward is mostly extended versions of earlier pieces.

The other three extras are in-game items. The Trevor Style and Sypha Style costumes dress Rose after her father, Trevor Belmont, and her late mother, Sypha Belnades, the heroes of Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. Family's Grace is a relic. Relics in Belmont's Curse trigger effects when you attack or defend, but the exact effect of Family's Grace is not confirmed as of 2026-10-14, so do not buy the Midnight Edition expecting a specific power boost.

Pre-order and early purchase bonus

Pre-ordering or buying any edition early adds the Alucard Style Costume for Rose, a nod to Dracula's son Alucard, who sided with Trevor against his father in Dracula's Curse and starred in Symphony of the Night. Konami calls it both a pre-order bonus and an early purchase bonus, so buying around launch should still qualify; the end date of the early purchase window is not confirmed as of 2026-10-14.

Physical copies and retailer extras

The physical Midnight Edition is listed for PlayStation 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch; Konami's retailer lists include no PC boxed copy. Konami's US store list names Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop, Walmart and Target, and its European list names Amazon, GAME and Smyths Toys in the UK and Ireland (Smyths for PS5 and Switch).

  • SteelBook (EMEA): pre-ordering or buying early the physical Midnight Edition at select retailers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa adds an exclusive Castlevania: Belmont's Curse SteelBook.
  • Rose tarot card (EMEA): select EMEA retailers also offer a premium tarot card of Rose Belmont with exclusive art by Katsuya Terada, the manga artist and illustrator whose original artwork appears in the release date trailer.
  • Stock: Konami asks buyers to check availability with local retailers; which shops carry the SteelBook or tarot card is not confirmed as of 2026-10-14.

Buying advice by region and platform

  • United States

    Digital or Midnight boxed

Standard is $29.99 digital. For a boxed copy you are buying the Midnight Edition from retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop, Walmart or Target. The US store listings unlock at 12:00 AM ET on October 15.

  • UK and Europe

    SteelBook territory

The SteelBook and Terada tarot card are EMEA retailer extras for the physical Midnight Edition. UK PlayStation listings unlock at 00:00 BST, an hour after Germany, France and Spain.

  • Japan

    Japanese voice and text

Every version includes Japanese text and voice acting. The Japanese PlayStation and Xbox listings unlock at midnight JST on October 15.

  • Australia

    First to unlock

The Australian store listings unlock at midnight AEDT, the earliest of the regions we checked. Local prices are not confirmed here, so compare in your store.

  • Xbox and PC players

    Xbox Play Anywhere

The Xbox Store lists the game as Xbox Play Anywhere, Microsoft's program where one digital purchase covers Xbox consoles and Windows PC through the Xbox app.

  • Switch players

    30 fps, physical Midnight

The Switch version runs at 30 fps. The eShop lists a Bonus Contents Pack and the Digital Sound & Art Gallery as separate add-on entries dated October 15.

On Steam the game also lists Family Sharing, which matters if you share a library with family members. If you own several platforms, remember that the free demo's save carries over only on the same platform and account, so decide where you will play before you start the demo.

Can you upgrade from Standard to Midnight?

An upgrade path is not confirmed as of 2026-10-14 on most storefronts. Nintendo's eShop does list the “Bonus Contents Pack” and the “Digital Sound & Art Gallery” as separate entries released on October 15, which suggests Midnight content may be sold separately on Switch, but prices and availability elsewhere are not confirmed. If you are undecided, buying the Midnight Edition outright is the only route Konami has spelled out.

Is there a deluxe or collector's edition?

No other edition has been announced. As of 2026-10-14, Konami lists only the Standard Edition and the Midnight Edition, plus the retailer extras above. There is no season pass or story DLC announcement either; if Konami announces any, it will appear on our news page.

Which edition should you buy?

  • Buy the Standard Edition if you only want to play. Every gameplay system is in the base game, and neither edition plays earlier.
  • Buy the Midnight Edition if you want the 71-track soundtrack, the art gallery or Rose's two family-themed costumes; $10 more is modest for a full soundtrack.
  • Buy the physical Midnight Edition if you want a boxed copy, and in EMEA if you want a chance at the SteelBook or the Terada tarot card.
  • Check performance first on Switch. The Switch version runs at 30 fps and has drawn performance criticism in reviews, so try the demo before you spend.
